Massachusetts

Brighton – Boston Pole Fitness (Has 3 locations)

  • Studio Vibe: bright and airy; 10 poles so no pole sharing; access to mats
  • Classes I took: Mixed Pole Tricks & Combos and Pole 102
  • My experience: The classes were challenging for me which I appreciated. The instructor took her time to spot and repeat demonstrations for me as needed. Both classes were very similar in covering more advanced pole tricks.
  • Good to know:
    • If you’re not from the area and take an Uber/Lyft to the Brighton studio, there’s no waiting area if you arrive early and the neighborhood has limited places to hang out.

New York

  • Studio Vibe – urban, room to relax before/after classes, professional instructors
  • Classes I took: Level 3 Pole and Low Flow Heels Level 1 and Up
  • My experience – I enjoyed both classes. Each instructor has his/her own unique style of teaching.
  • Good to know:
    • Sometimes new students can be overlooked so be sure to speak up and ask to see another demo on the pole if needed.

Pennsylvania

  • Studio Vibe: warm and welcoming though it was a bit hard to find since there is no sign outside on the building, just the #. Students were friendly.
  • Classes I took: A Levels 2-4 Pole Skills and Conditioning class
  • My experience: I should have read the description more closely because this class is designed for students to work at their own pace on skills appropriate for their level; I thought there would be instruction, however since the class was full (12 people) the instructor had to shift around to students individually.
  • Good to know:
    • If you are a self-starter and know exactly what moves you want to do, this is a good class for you. Keep in mind you may have to wait a bit for a spot and/or personal instruction
